Some may say its not up to par with other big science fictions like Interstellar or Space Odessey but I think it did wonderful. A movie doesn't need all action and intense moments for it to be unique. And that's what Ad Astra does, its elegant like a stream, it doesn't depict any wild journey across our galaxy or others out there but in our very own solar system. Showing us that even with the many advancements made on that earth, we're only beginning to understand our own solar system, let alone galaxy or universe. At this point, idek where I'm going with this lol but I'll close on one thing the movie noted. It seems as doe there's no life and to me that seems terrifying, knowing that you're the only intelligent life in the known universe. It hard to imagine such, a big empty void, with one species to explore. It's understandable why his dad didn't want to come back. Putting in the work and sacrifices into something that your truly believe in, just for it to be a false hope. Well that's all I have. Haven't done one of these im a while.
